FARINET :: SUNDAY :: FLAVIO
When ever new blood tries to break in and onto a scene, which has already held a long and enduring history, it will feel like a wake up call and make the task a daunting one to all who enter the realm of House and Techno. That being said, the other ‘obvious’ in this equation is talent…raw, edgy and with a little splash of finesse. This then sets the stage for the artist in question here, born 80km out of Zurich and indoctrinated into the world of electronic music through an old 90’s mix tape, courtesy of his father. A fixed member of the now infamous and underground club event Sunday Breakfast Zurich, DJ resident Flavio is building a strong narrative around his burgeoning career, with a reputation for spinning intricately deep and forward thinking sets, he has been keeping the dance floors moving to hypnotised rhythms and playing a key factor in the creation of the so called SBZ sound. A sound which is vastly becoming its very own thing. Not shy of the studio as well, he has been working in tandem with his mentor and fellow SBZ resident DJ and owner Sandro Kuhne, on new material for the in-house label Sunday Breakfast Records. His music is adding to his position of bone fide artist, and evident should you be lucky enough to hear it when he drops a new demo during one his long sets. Berlin, Barcelona, Vienna and Paris, just a few of destinations this man has already coveted, with a CV that is ever growing as demand for his clean, atmospheric and minimalistic fused sounds continue to capture the interlocked minds seeking out the next new thing emanating out of the electronic universe.
